Be it a sandy beach, colourful street art or a breathtaking drop to the ocean – when we Travelettes get to a particularly beautiful place with a unique floor or view down below, we all take the obligatory photo of our feet. There are some people who go just a little bit further with this and take #fromwhereistand to a whole new level. One of them is Kimmie Conner, a South Californian native who travels the world and takes us with her through photos of her feet in the most awe-inspiring places.
Kimmie is a natural born world traveler and has been exploring the globe for three years. On her blog and Instagram she shares the best pictures and stories from her adventures and has an entire section dedicated to showing you the world at her feet.
As the daughter of a pilot and a flight attendant it comes as no surprise that she has been bitten by the travel bug early on and now loves to share her experiences. In 2015 she has been exploring Europe and South East Asia, before hitting up Australia in 2016.

‘I’m not entirely sure why I started doing this…. my feet aren’t all that attractive and basically always have small chips of old nail polish somewhere and are slightly dirty because I don’t like to wear shoes… but it has evolved into a tradition nonetheless that brings back tons of memories and also an appreciation for shoes that have been there for me through it all,’ she says in a recent article she published for the Huff Post, where you can find even more inspiring pictures of the places that Kimmie’s feet carry her.
