Christmas is the perfect time to snag those coveted travel goodies you’ve been eyeing all year. Whether your dropping hints with fam and friends or giving yourself that special something (which is totally allowed), the fact remains that there are countless ideas – so many in fact, it can be overwhelming to sort through them all.
So get out your pen and paper because we’re sharing the items WE would most like to unwrap on Christmas morning.

Painted Globes
Hand painted globes are on trend and getting more and more popular. Check out these beauties we’ve been eyeing the last few months: here and here.
2. Mountain Flasks
There’s not always a cocktail bar nearby to get your Bellinis or Moscow Mules but that doesn’t mean you can’t indulge a little wherever you go – after all, travelling is also about letting down your hair once in a while. Whether you’re in a secluded in a mountain cabin or camping in the woods, a stylish flask is the perfect way to tote your spiritueux. We’re kind of obsessed with this and this.
3. Push-pin travel maps
Cliche or not, marking your travels on a push-pin map is not only fun, it helps you visualise where you’ve been in the world and also scope out unchartered territory for future adventures. We wish this, or this, or this was hanging over the sofa.
4. Kitchen AccessoriesÂ
Whipping up an exotic recipe you collected on holiday? Or just wanderlusting over some fancy cheese and wine? Why not do so with some travel-inspired accessories – like a chopping board cut in the shape of your favorite destination. We found this little Etsy gem not long ago and have been pinning over it ever since.
5. Instant Camera
Taking photos can be just as fun as seeing new places but sometimes you just don’t want to lug around a big DSLR. Instant cameras are the perfect way to have a little fun while snapping some great shots. Urban Outfitters has us covered with some of the best, like this Lomography Lomo’Instant Camera (also in the the Sanremo Edition) and this Fujifilm Instax Wide Camera.
6. Jewelry
Keep that special place close to heart with a classic coordinate necklace. Or, if you’re feeling especially hip, try rocking this leather aztec camera necklace.
7. Weekenders
Can you ever have enough bags? I’m constantly on the lookout for great weekenders because let’s face it, a girl needs options. Zalando has some pretty sweet finds in this department. I’d love to add this black KIOMI, this cute blue and red from mint&berry or this classic Herschel to my collection.
8. Travel journals
I don’t know about you but I love journaling on my trips – it’s a great way to log what I’ve done and how I feel, plus it’s always really interesting to go back and read everything in hindsight. Etsy has some amazing leather travel journals that I’d love to carry around: here and here.
9. Travel Sets
You don’t need Louis Vuitton to travel in style. When designer luggage breaks the bank, you can always up your travel game with stylish sets like this leather ensemble or this trendy set made from vintage Huipil fabric.
10. Travel books
Who said a travelette can’t also be a bookworm? We love these travel books to get and give as Christmas presents. They’re perfect for the coffee table and also for inspiring your next travel adventures. Check out this and this from Lonely Planet, or this by Rough Guides.
