Maybe you remember that Travelettes turned 4 last summer. For over four years now, our ever-changing and evolving team of young female travellers has reported from far-flung corners of the planet, carried together reasons to get going and lessons learnt, dug up inspirational art from around the world and introduced you to exceptional fellow Travelettes. We are a conglomerate of globetrotting, backpacking, high-heel wearing adventurers, connected by soul and email – but, as many of you might not know, not by actual encounters. Just like you, I only get to know the other girls by reading about their travels and experiences, by exchanging ideas for future posts and inspiring each other with tips and tricks – but so far, I have only met two of them actually face-to-face.

Luckily this will change this summer. For the first time in 5 years, all Travelettes will come together and spend one epic week in one of our favourite places, Croatia. This Travelettes Get-together is made possible by, a Croatian holiday company organizing sailing fleet trips in the Adriatic Sea with the purpose to bunch up like-minded travelers from all over the world. offers three kinds of one week sailing trips from mid-June to mid-September: Smooth Sailing with a focus on culinary highlights, Pink Armada, Croatia’s first LGBT yachting trip, and Party Yachting, the company’s flagship party week. This is the trip we will take part in – along with 200 or more fellow sailors on 20 to 50 yachts. It’s all about exploring Croatian culture, enjoying the breathtaking landscape and meeting people from all over the world. Whether you travel individually, in a pair or come with an entire group of friends, you can either book a spot, a cabin or a yacht. And don’t worry if you’ve never sailed before (neither have we!), you can also book an experienced skipper – so anybody is safe to go!

Our week will start in Split where we will spend the day exploring this beautiful place, one of the oldest cities along the Adriatic coast. Once aboard our Travelettes yacht, we will meet our skipper. All yachts will sail out together the day after and bounce between the islands Hvar, Vis and Brač. After island hopping for a couple of days we will return to Split for one final party night in town. Much of the week will be spent with sailing, sunbathing and swimming in beautiful, clear water, but to avoid any possibility of monotony also organises day trips, activities and entertainment. Music is another crucial part of the week. We look forward to daily yacht parties with some of the world’s best DJs, and nightly excursions to the islands’ night clubs hosting special nights for all party yachters. The offered extra activities include wind- and kite-surfing, wine tastings and biking tours, but what we are most excited about is the chance to snorkel and try scuba-diving without any prior experience! All we need to worry about is preparing our meals in the yacht’s kitchen or selecting a restaurant in one of the bay towns! If that’s something you don’t want to be bothered with during holidays, offers the possibility to book a hostess who will take care of the yacht and your tummies!

If you look to extend your party week in Croatia, book for mid-July when you can combine your yacht trip with Ultra Europe, a massive dance festival taking place from July 11-13! We will set sail from August 2-9, just in time to celebrate the Traveletttes’ 5th birthday and to get a fabulous mid-summer tan! Even though we have to wait for 5 more months until we are finally reunited in glorious Travelettes manner, it’s the anticipation that is most pleasant! And with that in mind, I’ll leave you with some inspirational pictures from past regattas – maybe you want to experience this with us?! Bookings are open now!
