Whether it’s Paris, New York, Berlin or London, each city is different and identified by a strong eclectic culture of people, music, food and yes – fashion. I am not referring to the local designers but to the everyday people who, through their clothes, express their individuality as it was shaped by the culture around them.

Luckily we live in a day and age where we can refer to blogs to see what poeple across the world are wearing, so streetstyle blogs are an excellent alternative if you’re curious about people abroad but may not have the means to travel there and see for yourself.

Here below, I’ve listed a few of the streetstyle blogs inspiring me to travel in style:

From London to Berlin

Our own travelette and favorite photographer, Katja, caught my attention when she was living in London and shooting the glamorous party crowd in London for her other blog Glamcanyon. Now, she’s capturing the spirit of Berlin when not traveling.

Through my glasses, Londonappears to be a little more dressed up than Berlin, a bit more glitter and glam – but with a grungy attitude and high heels or Doc Martens. Berlin is also all about fashion, but more in a art school comfy way with less high heels and more DIY.

The Australian London based photographer Vanessa Jackman captures London and the world in a beautiful way on her blog. For more London I also recommend you to check out Streetstyle Aestetic‘s stunning photos.

And for another look on Berlin’s streetfashion have a look at StilinBerlin, or head down to the streets of Munich and the world with Styleclicker.

Being cool is a Nordic privilege

…at least that’s what I’ve heard, and looking through these blogs you might start agreeing. In Sweden everyone looks like a model turned blogger, Copenhagen feels like a catwalk, Helsinki combines glamrock with simplicity, Reykjavik is like an exploding volcano of style and Oslo is simple and natural beauty.

Parisian elegancy

Parisians for me, are some of the most elegant creatures on this planet – always in a classic, never wrong style and attitude. They are classic beauties. To see what I mean, have a look at these blogs: Easyfashion and NAST.

NY – the city that has it all

I still have to go to New York, but I get my daily fashion update from the Big Apple through some amazing photographers. I find it hard to describe the New York fashion scene, the city has it all. From the glamorous Sex in the City outfits, to the hipster/art scene of Williamsburg where vintage and AA is the rule and the models seem to grow on trees..

My favorite is the Norwegian NY-based blogger/model Hanneli, but I’m inspired by all the models in Altamira and the beauties of Citizen Couture and Mr. Newton.

Tailored beauty in Lisbon

I spent the last 7 months living in Lisbon, I figured downtown Chiado is the place to spot streetfashion. I find the general Portuguese fashion to be a bit boring, but love the photography and findings of the Lisbon Tailor.

Streetfashion’s super couple and the Facehunter

Two of the worlds top streetfashion photographers are Paris/NY based couple Garance Doré and Scott Schuman from the Sartorialist, both of them catch the elegance and classic style with an eye for details wherever they are. Another famous world traveler with fab aesthetic sence is the famous Face Hunter.
