Ever heard of skylining? Neither had I, until one of my guy friends suggested we watch a documentary about “hot chicks doing crazy shit.” Dubious to say the least I agreed. Turns out skylining is an extreme adrenaline junkies dream combining tightrope walking, slacklining and base jumping. As to be expected there are plenty of guys into the sport, but also a surprising number of chicks who are doing it for the girls!

Flight of the Frenchies is a 40 minute documentary about a group of seriously insane Frenchies on a skylining journey through europe. They are crazy enough to walk tightropes across the tallest skyscrapers in Paris, gorges in the South of France and fjords in Norway. Oh and did I mention that they also decided it was a good idea to try cartwheel off mountains just as easily as we’d stroll to the park? The documentary follow 6 friends; 4 guys and 2 girls, on their path of adrenaline. Yes the guys are cute, but what I loved was the fearless energy brought to the film by the two female skyliners; Ingrid Laillaut & Jelena Schradi.

With great mix of adrenaline, humour, fear and WHATTHEFUCKDOTHEYTHINKTHEYAREDOING??!!, Flight of the Frenchies beautifully documents their high altitude adventures and makes you feel like you’re actually jumping with them.

The documentary is now free to view online & can be downloaded with a small contribution.

So who’s got a spare rope in their garage and fancies a dance with danger. … I’m game if you are …
