10 Pets of Instagram having Adventures we only Dream of…

1.Theron Humphrey – @thiswildidea

2. Loki – @loki_the_wolfdog

Loki the wolfdog sure is a cutie. He travels with Kelly Lund (@shark_toof) around Colorado and loves new adventures! This husky/arctic wolf/malamute mix is never left behind – Kelly Lund explains: “Growing up in a family that took dog ownership very seriously, I had my fair share of experiences with large dogs. Loki was different though. Instead of him entering into my world, I felt like I had to listen closely and enter into his world, if this was going to work out. At that time, I decided that I would do everything possible to not leave him behind at the house. We started backcountry snowboarding together when he was four months old, and before his third birthday, he’d seen most of the western U.S.”

And they haven’t looked back since….

5. Andrew knapp – @andrewknapp

Up in Canada, Andrew travels with his Border Collie, Momo, and a sweet yellow camper van. He speaks home truths and the struggles of life on the road in a super slow, trundling van, but wouldn’t change it for the world. Be sure to read his captions when having a scroll…

In the winter we stood on this lake, with nothing but a white-out of snow and ice around us. Now we’re panting, tongues out, drinking every drop until the sun sets and wetting our feet in the endless fields of summer grass, clothing optional. Often when I’m on a road trip, and faced with a sudden rain storm, my inner pessimist gets the best of me – I somehow conclude that the entire remainder of my drive will be stormy. I’m often wrong, the sun comes out a few hours later, and there I am with renewed certainty that this is the new normal – the rest of my trip will be sunny. And then it rains again. There’s no better reminder of change than the weather. It’s good to remember that the weather isn’t a bad thing, and it isn’t a good thing – it’s only a sure thing. A good day is often made by inviting the change and embracing the uncertainty, regardless of the weather. And dress accordingly.

6. Bolt and Keel – @boltandkeel

Time to throw some cats into the mix! You didn’t think it would all be traveling dogs? These brothers are adventure cats who hike, paddle and snowshoe through the wilderness. Bolt and Keel were abandoned in a park, discovered by avid photographer Kayleen VanderRee. She was about to embark on a mountain trek, and since the animal shelter was closed, she took them along. Now they love nothing more than perching on her shoulder or standing proud at the bow of a canoe <3

You can also check out their photography collection in a new book coming out October 2017: “Bolt and Keel: The Wild Adventures of Two Rescued Cats“.
