Scratch it off your map

As I am writing this, it is the second Sunday of Advent, and eBay is trying to scare me with a banner saying there is only 19 days left for me to do my Christmas shopping. This means that I have to be creative, find personal gifts and not ending up buying things for myself. To get some good ideas I googled “perfect Christmas gift” and I happened to find this cute scratch map from I want one of those that evolves with your travels.

Well, with the My Scratch Map scratch-off maps, it’s easy to make anyone who pops round feel jealous of exactly how well-travelled you are. On first glance, it’s a quite classy looking wall map, but if you carefully scratch off the places you’ve been on holiday, it reveals some lovely colourful and geographic detail. The top layer of the map is gold foil for easy scratching, and you only need to rub it with the edge of a coin, scratch-card style, to reveal the gorgeous detail underneath.

I think this would make a fun Christmas gift, but I still need more ideas, so feel free to share yours with me!

    yes – such a pity they’re sold out, just realized when i tried to order one a bit later. hope they will be back in stock next year :)
