Dear travelettes,
during my recent trip through the United States I filmed everything and everyone and I’ve been working on editing a mini series of short films, each episode located in a different city.
The first stop on my US itinerary was New York City, which is why there series starts here. Enjoy.
If you’ve been to Italy, you’ll be well familiar with a culinary phenomenon I have never encountered in any other country: Aperitivo.
Aperitivo started to become trendy in fashionable Milan and was quickly picked up by image-councious bars and restaurants in Rome and other Italian cities.
Every night, usually from around 6 to 9pm, every self-respecting establishment offering a full bar, will dish up an all you-can-eat buffet of Antipasti, salami, ham, …
When you first start backpacking, chances are you are not familiar with all the do’s and don’ts that come with it. For example, you might stuff your backpack with clothes just to find out that once you are there (this applies to India, South East Asia and other hot climate backpacker favorites) it’s actually very easy and cheap (often just $2 or $3) to buy comfortable clothes in the country.
But …
About a week ago, I got an exited email from a friend in London telling me about something called the Pale Blue Door. A type of supper club that travels around the globe always building a magic space made of old wood and things they find or they are given to then open their pale blue door to their guests for just 12 nights during the course of 3 weeks. …
When you come to Berlin, there are a few things you should do. Party at Berghain and Bar 25, eat a currywurst, go shopping in Mitte and if you’re here during a Sunday you definitely must not miss Mauerpark on Sundays. What started out as a pretty rad and large fleamarket, has slowly turned into the most important social event of the week. Unpretentious and easygoing, anyone can come here, …
Dear Travelettes,
during my recent trip through the United States, me and my buddy Anthony had one very particular destination in mind, which, for different reasons was close to our hearts.
While I had been craving a visit to the Grand Canyon ever since I had named my other blog Glamcanyon, Anthony had a special mission to fulfil and he made me his sidekick. But more on that later.
Driving into the Grand …
Vivere per mangiare – live to eat, is a famous Italian saying which is a pretty important, if not the most important, aspect of Italian lifestyle. When I think of Italy I first think of the amazing food and, especially once I had actually visited this gorgeous country, the memory of creamy gelato, flavorful pizza and delicious pasta has forever left its mark on my mind.
During my past 9 days …
Sicily is great. And I’m not just saying that because so far no one tried to steal anything from me. I found a great hostel where I’ve been meeting tons of nice people (Casa di Amici, more on that soon), have taken day trips to stunning beach towns, visited catacombs and of course had an overload of the local specialities which happen to be all sweet. Cannolis, brioches, gelati – …
So girls,
Some serious BS has happened to me this past week. Last week in Amsterdam someone stole my bag from the back of my bike (while I was riding it) and then dropped it somewhere after taking out my laptop, an external hard drive with tons photos and 300 euros cash. That…..sucked. But life goes on so I bought a new Macbook and told myself that I was lucky to …
Italia. Nothing to say about Italia that is not dipped in admiration, longing and pure love. Italy is the one country I can never get enough of. A place where I never get a feeling of “ok that was nice, and now i want to go back home”. I think it’s safe to say that one day I will purchase a beautiful apartment somewhere in Naples where I will spent …
