Aix-en-Provence je t’aime
Dear Aix-en-Provence,
I’ve recently realised something and quite honestly I don’t know what to do as I’ve never been in this situation before! You see, Aix-en-Provence, I’m hopelessly in love with you!

I love you because you’re effortlessly stylish and beautiful. The architecture, the people, the atmosphere, you seem to have it all. With 300 plus days of sunshine you help fight those winter blues and I can spend endless hours sat on a terrace with a coffee and simply watch the world go by. Your 24 hour bakery (Cours mirabeau, 13100) fuels my addition to pan au chocolat and freshly baked baguette baguette at 4 o’clock in the morning. You’re intelligent and cultural yet also humble with your knowledge and experience. You taught me to play pétanque and acquire a taste for Pastis and Callisons.
I’m glad to know that I am not the only one to fall for your charms; Cézanne, Renoir, Matisse and Van Gogh clearly also found you irresistible. Yet my life is now somewhat a wretched life – your love makes me both the happiest and the unhappiest of travelettes. Whilst I wander round embarking on meaningless flings (also known as reasonably priced European mini breaks) my thoughts are only with you. How am I supposed to travel and explore and be a good travelette when I’ve found the place I want to stay forever?
Forever yours,
Lorna

I’ve been there some years ago and can totally second your loveletter. The Provence is somewhat magical and inspiring, too. Want to spend some days there again soon!
I’m glad that I dont seem too crazy then Sabeina, I think everyone around me is sick of me saying how incredible the place is!!
Merci Lorn pour ce joli message !!! <3
