Have you heard of the German Roamers? They’re a selected few photographers who showcase the best of Germany, with a focus on outdoor living. In other words – they are those people who always make ones jaw drop by finding incredible angles and breathtaking landscapes, not rarely involving spectacular mountain ranges, valleys and forests.

For their new campaign #MadeByTheSea German Roamers, which comprise the likes of Instagram favorites Max Münch, Leo Thomas or Roman König have teamed up with Scottish Whisky Brand Talisker, which just so happens to be the world’s oldest Single Malt Scotch Whisky. In celebration of its own origin of Scotlands most remote and rugged shores Talisker invited the Roamers and a few other wonderful German outdoor photographers to capture this same spirit in Germany, taking the Instagrammers North to the islands of Usedom and Rügen as well as some other spots, some of which you may not even have heard of.

But there is more than beautiful photos coming out of this lovely collaboration. Every week on Made by the Sea you can find a new spot that is introduced along with a personalised statement by the photographer.

If you want to get involved, simply take to Instagram and tag your own favorite spots with the hashtag #MadeByTheSea and you shot not only has a chance of being featured on the Talisker Wilderness Guide page, you just might also win a weekend trip together with one of the Roamers.

Of course we couldn’t help but have a sneaky look at our own archives to see what we hold in store about Germany’s beautiful shores and we found this, this and this one, too.

Taking all our photos into account, I think Caroline Schmitt’s shot takes it home:

What would be yours?
