I fully believe in the motto “all the gear but no idea” because if you don’t have a clue what you’re doing, you might as well try and fake it – for instance, I have tons of top of the range running gear but the reality is that I struggle to walk up the hill by my house to the bus stop without having to stop for air, but that doesn’t stop me looking like I’m about to be part of the next Olympics team. The same goes for me and photography – I might not always know what I’m doing but hey I’m still all over the cute accessories.

1. The quickest and easiest way to personalise and glam up your camera is change the strap from the branded one it comes with when you first buy it. What is nicer than picking something super colourful and recycled like this strap made from reclaimed seat belts.

2. However, if you don’t want to spend the money on a ready made solution, for instant glamification maybe you could even try your hand at making your own strap from some old chain as per this Berlin fashionista

3. This camera lens pouch keeps your (sometimes) expensive and precious lenses safe when on the move especially if you just want to pop an extra one in your bag when exploring a city.

4. If you have a favourite handbag or backpack you love to carry why not consider turning it into a camera bag? The Haven is a portable padded protector for all things photographic, it helps instantly turn any bag into a camera bag.

5. I’m slightly freaked out puzzled by the following lens pet (?!) and am unable to justify its purpose apart from maybe to freak the hell out of any of your friends or wild animals you might want to photograph on your travels. Convinced?

6. Finally, is this or is this not the coolest camera bag to keep your beloved camera safe when travelling around?!
